Social Event: GISC Quiz Night - Monday 15th February 2010


January Winners: The GISC, Pam and Keith would like to thank all the teams who entered the January quiz night, which saw five teams competing for the Jack Ackril Memorial Trophy.

Congratulations to "Mr and Mrs Underhill" who took home the trophy thanks to a tie break after ending the evening with 42 points. In second place were: "Christmas was a lot better without Cliff!" who also finished with a total of 50 but unfortunately lost the tie break.

The wooden spoon trophy, awarded to the team finishing in last position, went to "Sleeping Beauty and the four dwarfs" who scored 31 points

 The final standings were:-

1st - Mr and Mrs Underhill - 42 Points (won on tie break)

2nd - Christmas was a lot better without Cliff! - 42 points (second place via tie break)

3rd - Tenner for Jackson. Take it or leave it - 38 points

4th - Newington 3 Plus One - 37 points

5th - Sleeping Beauty and the four dwarfs - 31 points

The quiz nights have currently raised over £440 towards the GISC 2009/2010 away coach travel. We look forward to seeing you all at the next event.

The Gills Independent Supporters Club invite you to attend a

QUIZ NIGHT

Split into six themed sections the quiz will include:-

In The News - Current Affairs
Quick Ten - 10 general knowledge questions
Specialist Round - 10 questions on one mystery subject
Connections - General knowledge with a difference
Wipeout round - Answer as many questions as you can but don't get one wrong!

Drinks available at club prices - Free buffet

Date:-       Monday 15th February 2010
Time:-       7.45pm for 8.00pm start
Venue:-     Brasenose Club, Gillingham
Cost:-        £2 per player - up to 6 players per team

Prizes will be presented to the winners with prizes also available for the second and final placed teams.

The entry fee will be collected on the evening of the quiz with all monies raised going towards the GISC Away Travel operation.

The event is open to both members and non-members with Gills fans and non-Gills fans welcome to attend.

Where is the Brasenose Club?

The Brasenose Club is located at 168 Nelson Road (the same road as Gillingham Bus Station) and is the venue for our AGM`s.

It is within walking distance of Gillingham train station (5-10 mins), Gillingham bus station (5 mins) and of course Priestfield Stadium (10-15 mins).
