GISC Pre-Match Social: Royal British Legion Club


GISC members have full access to the facilities and car parking at the Royal British Legion Club, prior to EVERY Gillingham FC home game.

The Royal British Legion Club, which is located approximately 3-5 minutes walk from Priestfield Stadium in Livingstone Road, have kindly agreed to allow GISC members free access to their facilities on a matchday.

On production of a current membership card members will be admitted to the venue which has a large bar serving both soft and alcoholic drinks, including Real Ale, at club prices. Pool and Bar Billiards tables are available with an assortment of filled rolls on offer for £1 each.

For the warmer days and evenings an outside seating area will be opened, with a BBQ serving take away food when the weather allows. Should there be sufficient demand the Royal British Legion are considering Curry and Fish and Chips to their menu on a match day.

What are the opening times?

As stated above the club will be open for EVERY Gillingham FC home game. Opening times are 12.00pm (noon) on Saturday's and 2.00pm for a midweek game.

Will Guests Be Admitted?

All guests of GISC members will be welcomed in the club but a fee of £1 per guest will be charged. This will be passed in full to the Royal British Legion.

As you can see by the map above the club is very close to Priestfield and also within 5 minutes walk of Gillingham train station. Please click and drag over the map over to view the surrounding areas.

For members who are not familiar with the area please note that Livingstone Road is a one way street. There is no entry from Barnsole Road and you need to approach the club from Toronto Road.

Parking

Free car parking is available to members strictly on production of a valid GISC membership card. The car park can accommodate approximately 30 cars with members admitted on a first come first served basis. No spaces will be reserved and the car park is shared with members of the Royal British Legion Club.

Please note that the car park barrier has now been repaired and is kept closed. All GISC members should press the access button, tell the operator that you are a member of the GISC and you will then be admitted. Members of the RBLC have their own card which is inserted to raise the barrier. When exiting the car park the barrier will open automatically.

Having driven up to the gate members should press the access button, if necessary mention you are a member of the Gills Independent Supporters Club, then one of the bar staff will release them.    RBLC Members have their own card which is inserted.


The Car Park at the Royal British Legion Club

If the Royal British Legion car park is full members are able to use the GISC parking at the Sikh Temple in Franklin Road (next to the Franklin Rooms) which is a few minutes walk from our new social venue in Livingstone Road. A £3 fee per vehicle is charged to use this car park.
